Shipping & Return Policy
Delivered but Not Received
If tracking shows Delivered, responsibility transfers to you. We do not replace or refund delivered packages—this includes deliveries to freight/mail forwarders, hotels, Airbnbs, offices, and any third-party location.
If stolen, report to local law enforcement.
Fulfillment Times
- We ship Monday–Friday.
- Orders before 12PM ET usually ship the same day.
- Orders after 12PM ship the next business day. Weekend orders ship Monday.
- Chop Shop orders take longer due to custom production.
Fulfillment time is separate from carrier delivery estimates.
Editing or Canceling Orders
If your order hasn’t entered processing, you can cancel within 24 hours by emailing sales@covertinstruments.com.
Need to add items? We cancel/refund so you can reorder (we don’t store payment data to “add on”).
Chop Shop orders cannot be changed or canceled.
ID Verification
For high-value or mismatched-address orders, we may request ID to prevent fraud. You may redact photo, DOB, and ID number; we only need name and billing address. One-time check. .gov/.mil is exempt.
Important Notes
- Auto-fill errors are the customer’s responsibility.
- FedEx does not ship to PO Boxes.
- Used items are non-refundable.
Domestic Shipping
Double-check your address. Wrong/incomplete/auto-filled addresses are not eligible for refund or replacement.
Lost package timelines: Standard 30 days · Chop Shop 45 days. Packages are “in transit” until these pass.
International Shipping
Lost package timelines: Standard 60 days · Chop Shop 75 days.
If returned due to refused delivery, unpaid duties, missed attempts, or no contact with FedEx, we refund item price minus original shipping and a 25% restock fee.
Customs delays are outside our control.
Customs, Duties & Import Fees
We don’t mark as gifts or lower value. International buyers pay all duties, taxes, and import fees. These are not included in your total and are non-refundable—even on returns.
Countries We Cannot Ship To
Not all products ship to all countries. If you see “No delivery available” or the site appears “Sold Out,” your location isn’t eligible for certain items.
Returns
Most unused items can be returned within 7 days. Used items cannot be returned.
25% restock fee applies to returns of: Covert Companion Pro, Covert Companion & SSF Parts, Genesis Sets, Echelon, Arbiter, CI Practice Locks, Tubular Pick, Impressioning Kit, Learn Lock Picking Bundle, Lock Sport Trainer, Grav Pick, Butterfly Comb, Reaper Set, APEX Sets, Lishi Tools, Specialty/Bump Keys.
Lishi tools must be unused—photos required. Refunds can take up to 10 business days and exclude shipping charges.
International Returns
We cannot generate international return labels. International customers cover return shipping. Restock fees still apply.
Non-Refundable Items
No returns or exchanges (except verified manufacturing defects) on: All Chop Shop items, all clothing (made-to-order), The Reach Around, The Replicant, FNG, custom/small-batch items.
Buyer’s Legal Responsibility
By purchasing, you confirm you’re 18+ and legally allowed to own these items where you live. You are responsible for understanding local laws regarding locksmithing tools. CI is not responsible for unlawful use and may refuse any sale.
Replacements
Replacements may be issued for manufacturing defects, damaged items, or packages confirmed lost after the waiting period.
Waiting periods: Domestic 30 days · International 60 days. Replacements ship via USPS First Class. Chop Shop items are not eligible.
Address Accuracy
We are not responsible for incorrect, incomplete, or auto-filled addresses entered at checkout.
